The old stadium is now gone and replaced with condos

It's not a cash for clunkers

It's not a cash for clunkers storage anymore, they turned it into an apartment complex now with a baseball diamond right by it so it's no longer a stadium.

Bush Stadium is now finishing up being turned into apartments called, Stadium Flats (Summer 2014). Not sure if this is the official sources, but for an idea what it now has turned into. Some pieces of the stadium are still seen in the residential units, or so they say.

I remember working as a box

I remember working as a box usher for several summers between 1984-1986. Some of the best memories of my life. It's sad to see these pictures after so many years away. I actually can pick out box level sections that I used to work every summer home game. Really sad.

Incredible pictures, can't

Incredible pictures, can't believe this went from a beloved cultural monument to a junkyard of cash for clunkers....

Here was our effort...People for Urban Progress, in collaboration with Ecolaborative and Indianapolis Fabrications, voluntarily removed over 10,000 of the Bush Stadium ballpark seats from fall 2011-spring 2012 before apartment redevelopment began. The first IndyGo PUP Stop was installed in Nov 2011 utilizing 4 restored seats at the corner of Vermont and Alamaba Streets downtown.

Help support our cause to preserve the history of the stadium and buy your own set of restored seats! The website for general public seat sales is coming this fall 2012. More details soon...
