Abandoned USA is pleased to announce an official partnership with Google inc. Google recently released the iOS version of their popular app Field Trip. Along with this release you can now find our content directly in the app. Field Trip provides a new experience with maps and location to find interesting things and places around you that you might have overlooked before.
The future of many of the abandoned buildings seen here is never certain. In a follow up to the Dixie Square Mall that I shot earlier in the year, it looks like its future is clear. After receiving a $4 million dollar federal grant, Governor Pat Quinn has announced plans to demolition the site and begin redeveloping the area.
Hidden in the swamps and marshes of the everglades, the largest solid fuel rocket sits in its grave. Originally built during the space race, this rocket will most likely never see the light of day.
This place looks cool, really cool. I'm currently looking for more information on the location of this facility. If anyone knows anything please leave a comment.
Sometimes the abandoned locations we find become bought up, rejuvenated and see a second life. Such is not the case of the Keystone Towers in Indianapolis. Today the building was imploded and Abandoned USA was there to follow up with a video of the implosion.
